Pieter & Marijke – 16 December 2010 – Hamiltons

Marijke was the most relaxed bride, especially considering that on the morning of her morning wedding, the heavens had opened up and the rain was pouring, the wind was howling and the skies were a menacing dark grey! She even had it in her to say that we really were desperate for rain! She is a beautiful person, a little shy, graceful and downright lovely!

When the rain and wind did not let up even a little, we decided to move the creative shoot to another day. Choosing another day was difficult in itself as coordinating a group of people’s schedules always is… And on the day we finally chose… IT RAINED! Halfway through the shoot, the heavens let loose once again! We waited it out a bit, and just as we were trying to reschedule… again… there was a little break in the rain. We raced up the dunes of Sards and had a marathon run until the rain came pouring down again. But, oh, the result was beautiful, the lighting, the moodiness of the sky after rain…

Pieter and Marijke, you were excellent sports! And just remember that rain on your wedding day is a BLESSING and so you guys were DOUBLY BLESSED! Hope you like the pics…
